American Eskimo dog breed is a loving companion dog, beauty and agile. This white dog is playful and intelligent. American eskimo loves to bark but should be handled gently.

Color(s): almost always white although biscuit cream is acceptable.
Coat: double-coated (two layers); undercoat is short and dense, while outer-coat consists of long hair, thicker around the neck and chest. No trimming necessary except to neaten the feet and backs.
Characteristics and temperaments: American eskimos are intelligent, friendly, alert and excellent when it comes to obedient. This dog can be wary to strangers but quicly become friendly once introduced. This breed is also very sociable with its family and other household pets.
Care: During the twice a year shedding, this dog requires more attention. Regular brushing is recommended to prevent matting. Although the coat is thick, it is relatively easy to groom.
Training and activity: Standard size American eskimos need regular exercise every day.
