The Bearded Collie breed is a small hound dog, but very active indoors. Because Beagles originally live in packs, they like to be around people and other animals. They are sweet and curious that loves everyone.

AKC Breed Group: Herding.

Breed Weight: 40 - 60 lbs.

Breed Height: 20 - 22 inches.

Color(s): black, shade of gray to slate to silver.

Coat: The undercoat is dense and soft while outercoat is wooly, long and straight.

Characteristics and temperaments: The Bearded Collie is playful, affectionate and always wagging tail. It is sociable but quite independent. This breed gets along well with children and household pets.

Care: Because of its long hair, brushing, combing and grooming are required at least twice a week. Paws and ears should be checked regularly too.

Training and activity: This dog is intelligent and require moderate exercise, but can learn quickly. Beardie prefers to live outdoors, but should be nice as a household pet too.
