Beauceron Breed Information

The Beauceron breed is active, powerful, solid with well muscled. Trained and socialized from puppyhood, this dog can be good with children. It obeys to commands but can be overly protective at times. Beauceron puppies can gain weight fast and very active.

Breed Weight: up to 110 lbs.
Breed Height: 24 - 27.5 inches.

Color(s): black and tan, or black, gray and tan.
Coat: Undercoat is wooly and fluffy while outercoat is straight, dense and harsh.
Characteristics and temperaments: The Beauceron breed is brave, faithful and instinctive. Being obedience and initiative, he is easily trained and loyal to those he are familiar with. This breed like to socialize and should get along well with people, although can be reserved with stranger.
Care: Pay attention especially when he is shedding. At other times, the coat is quite easy to maintain and groom.
Training and activity: This dog is intelligent and requires a lot of exercise. A large yard is the best to play and burn energy. Beaucerons are moderately active indoors but if you can't keep up with his activity, you might be better with another breed.
