The Black Russian Terrier is powerful, large, alert and robust. He has well developed muscles and coordinated gait. Puppies are playful and quick to learn, but should be steered in the right direction firmly. This breed can be dominant if not trained from a puppy.

Care: The weatherproof coat needs regular trimming a few times a year. Moderate brushing is enough to keep it in a good shape.

Training and activity: Black Russian Terrier dog like to walk and play. The will to please makes him easy to train. The dog is suitable for apartment but should get ample of exercise. The breed needs to be around his family to be happy.
