The Border Collie is intelligent and agile. Energetic and has great stamina make this dog a great companion for owners who are active. The dog is also very trainable and excels in playing frisbee.

Color(s): blue, black, sable, merle, mixed with white and/or tan, sometimes tricolor.
Coat: double-coated; undercoat is soft, thick and short, while outercoat is coarse, straight to wavy.
Characteristics and temperaments: Border Collies are energetic, responsive and like to work even without a command. Never shy and nevernous, this dog gets along quite well with other pets and children in the house.
Care: Regular combing and brushing should keep him in the good condition.
Training and activity: This breed like to be kept busy with activities. Keep it occupied to make him happy. Ample exercise is a must. Its origin as a sheepdog and able to master any type of herd. The owner has to know this fact before adopting him as a pet. Training is easy because he wants to please.
