The Borzoi breed was bred for coursing of wild game with a tall, long, thin and narrow head. They have impressive abilities as swift lure coursers. As a hound, he can't be trusted off leash but usually is trainable.

AKC Breed Group: Hound.

Breed Weight: 60 - 105 lbs.

Breed Height: 26 - 28 inches.

Coat: Long, silky and wavy.

Characteristics and temperaments: Borzoi is a sweet and intelligent dog. He is loyal to his family, affectionate with people they know. Being independence, this breed can be stubborn at times.

Care: The long and silky coat is easy to groom and needs regular brushing. Excess hair between pads of the feet should be trimmed regularly.

Training and activity: This dog can be inactive indoors but that doesn't mean he need no exercise. He likes to run around and makes an excellent jogging companion. Borzoi is also independent and you need to train him consistently.
