The Chinese Crested breed has two distinct varieties: Hairless and Powderpuff. The Hairless has no hair except on the head, feet and tail. The Power Puff has long and soft hair. This breed is lovable, sweet, lively, playful and affectionate with children.

Breed Weight: 5 - 12 lbs.

Breed Height: 11 - 13 inches.

Coat: The Powderpuff has silky undercoat and outercoat (topcoat). The outercoat is long, covering the short undercoat. The Hairless breed has no hair except on several places.

Characteristics and temperaments: Chinese Crested breed is gay, alert, and entertaining. He gets along very well with children and other pets. He also can do tricks and like to stay close to his owner. This dog may have difficulties when changing owners.

Care: The Hairless breed requires special attention to his skin. Rubbing with lotion is a must. Before exposing to direct sun light, protect him with sunscreen. The Power Puff requires careful grooming to keep the coat in a good shape.

Training and activity: The dog can adapt automatically to the level of activities of his family. Regular playing and brisk walking should be enough. As an intelligent dog, he is quite easy to train.
