The Clumber Spaniel breed loves to be around people. He can get along very well with children. Being calm and friendly, this dog makes a great companion. He shows great enthusiasm for work as a hunting dog and play. This dog likes to chew a lot.

Color(s): white, a few lemon or orange markings are permissible.

Coat: Dense, silky, straight and flat.

Characteristics and temperaments: The Clumber Spaniel likes to please his owner. He is an affectionate, gentle and intelligent dog. Clumbers make great friends with children and get along well with other household pets, but can be quite reserved with strangers.

Care: The coat requires regular brushing. Trimming only when necessary.

Training and activity: As a puppy, he is quite active but slow down as he grows older. The dog likes to exercise regularly, but a short period of time for each session is all he needs. Clumber Spaniel is a good swimmer. Training should not be difficult but requires some patience.
