The Dandie Dinmont Terrier breed is affectionate, intelligent and brave terrier. He has short and muscular legs. Properly socialized from puppyhood, he can get along with children and babies quite well. This little dog has a loud bark compared ot his size.

Breed Weight: 18 - 24 lbs.

Breed Height: 8 - 11 inches.

Color(s): pepper or mustard; al shades of gray and silver, brown and fawn.

Coat: Soft undercoat. Outercoat is more harsh than undercoat.

Characteristics and temperaments: The Dandie Dinmont Terrier makes a great companion dog. Some of them can be quite aggressive toward other male dogs. It can live with cats as long as they are introduced since early age.

Care: Professional grooming is necessary. Regular brushing and plucking is required to keep the dog in a good shape.

Training and activity: Although this breed can be independence at times, he is relatively easy to train. The dog will adapt to the house members activity level, although he prefers to have regular exercise. This breed is active indoors but suitable for apartment life.
