Field Spaniel Breed Information

The Field Spaniel breed has a good scenting ability, moderate-sized spaniel, which has great endurance. He has one of the best personalities of all breeds in the same group. He is mild, smart, playful, and sweet, although could be independent at times.

Breed Weight: 35 - 50 lbs.
Breed Height: 17 - 18 inches.

Color(s): black, roan, liver; some of them have tan points. White is allowed on some places.
Coat: shiny, flat or slightly wavy, moderately long and dense.
Characteristics and temperaments: The Field Spaniels are affectionate, intelligent, friendly to everyone and very independent. It gets along very well with children and other dogs as long as he was properly socialized from early age. This breed needs to be around people.
Care: Brushing and combing once a week. Ears should be kept clean. A visit to personal groomer every three months will keep the dog in a good shape.
Training and activity: Training this dog should be done in a consistent manner. He reacts quickly and responsively to the sound of the trainer. This breed will devote to one family member. As a sporting breed, he needs regularly outdoor exercise like running. He can adapt to his family members activity level, but at least regular long walks on a leash is required.
