Coat: straight and flat; medium length, moderately dense and slightly wavy.

Characteristics and temperaments: The Flat-Coated Retriever breed is superb with children and has a stable temperament. Cheerful and devoted, he is also responsive and likes to please. Some of them are too friendly with strangers but others welcome visitors but not strangers.

Care: Brushing and combing is required weekly. Keep the coat clean and natural.

Training and activity: This dog is eager to please and learns fast. He retrieves very well and excels in agility and obedience training. He is active outdoors but quite indoors. Daily exercise like games, walking, swimming and other sports will keep him happy. You can also get him involve in jogging.
