German Pinscher Breed Information

The German Pinscher has glossy coat and alert expression. The most common color is black with tan markings. The dog gets along well with other household pets, but not with children because of his dominance behavior. He requires training from a firm hand, but is very loyal and protective.

Characteristics and temperaments: The German Pinscher breed is an ideal companion dog. He is lively, protective, loyal and alert. He makes a good watchdog by announcing visitors through his loud barking. The dogs can be very protective to their own territory.
Care: The short coat requires little grooming. Regular brushing to remove dead hair is all that is needed.
Training and activity: The dog requires ample exercise. They enjoy running and will happily adapt to apartment living as long as they get sufficient exercise. This breed likes to chase anything that moves quickly.
