Coat: Undercoat is dense and water-repellent. Outercoat is lying close to body, straight or wavy.
Characteristics and temperaments: The Golden Retriever breed is intelligent, adaptable, sensitive, friendly and agile. The dog likes to be around people to be happy. When left alone for long, it may become mischievous. Having great charm, it also makes good watchdogs because of its barking.
Care: The smooth coat is easy to groom. Comb and brush regularly, with more attention to the dense undercoat.
Training and activity: Goldens excel in obedience training. They remember what they've learned for the rest of their life. Training can be fun because of their eager to please the masters.
