The Great Dane breed is elegance, powerful, muscled and strong dog. It combines both nobility and robustness and power with elegance. He is gentle, sweet, kind and affectionate though. It loves to be around people and love to play with children. His independence nature requires experienced owners to handle though.

Color(s): brindle, blue, black, white with black patches (harlequin), and black-mased fawn.
Coat: short, thick, glossy and smooth.
Characteristics and temperaments: The Great Dane is elegance, gentle but has mighty power. This dog gets along well with children, other dogs and any household pets. He loves to be around people but can be quite reserved with strangers. It is best to raise him from puppyhood or it might become hard to manage.
Care: Comb and brush with a firm bristle brush. Trim the nail and bathe when necessary.
Training and activity: This breed needs plenty of exercise. At least daily long walks or running is necessary to keep him healthy and happy. The dog should be involved in obedience training as a puppy. He may grow up slightly difficult to manage.
