Ibizan Hound Breed Information

The Ibizan Hound breed is a strong, healthy, fast and affectionate family pet. They are strong without big muscles. The dog excels in hunting rabbits. Properly socialized as a puppy, this dog can get along with other dogs, household pets and children. Sometimes referred to as Breezers.

Breed Weight: 45 - 50 lbs.
Breed Height: 22.5 - 27.5 inches.

Color(s): white, red and shades of them; both solid and combinations.
Coat: short or long-haired and hard.
Characteristics and temperaments: The Ibizan Hounds loves to live in pack, which originated from their nature. They also like to be around people all the time. The breed has the tendency to be willful at times and get bored easily.
Care: The coat requires very little attention. The dog is naturally clean. As an average shedder, occasional brushing is all he needs.
Training and activity: This breed requires ample of exercise outdoors. He enjoys running, retrieving, and running alongside bicycle. Never let the dog off the leash unless in a secure area as they have a strong hunting instinct. As a quick learner, they respond very well to voices of their trainers.
