Irish Terrier Breed Information

The Irish Terrier breed is a well-proportioned, medium-sized terrier with black nose, dark and fiery eyes. They are extremely courageous, hot-tempered and spirited. Because of his highly protective instinct, he should be properly socialized as soon as possible to get along with people. He is a good companion for active children and kind with people.

Care: The double-coat is easy to greem. Regular brushing is necessary to remove dead hairs though. Bathe only when necessary.

Training and activity: The dog is suitable for aparment life provided he gets sufficient exercise on a regular basis. Properly trained and exercised, this breed is very friendly and dignify indoors. They should be kept on leash except in safe and fenced area. They also like to dig and chase things. Give him varierty in training routines, and he will learn quickly.
