The Irish Wolfhound breed is one of the tallest breed in the world, combining both strength an endurance in a muscular and great size body. Contrary to the size, he is sweet-tempered, generous, intelligent and patient. The dog gets along very well with children and tend to love everyone, making it unsuitable as a watchdog.

Coat: coarse, hard, and medium-length.
Characteristics and temperaments: The Irish Wolfhound breed is very intelligent, dignify and loyal to their own family. This dog gets along well with other dogs and animals and should be involved in training as a puppy to build his self-confidence.
Care: The coat needs regular grooming with brush and comb. This dog is an average shedder.
Training and activity: This dog is easy to train, gentle but consistent is required though. Due to his size, this dog requires more space to run. But when it comes to activity, this dog needs nothing more than the level of exercise of smaller breeds. They will adapt to their family activity too but best if they can have long walks regularly.
