Italian Greyhound Breed Information

The Italian Greyhound breed is a miniature of the Greyhound. They are elegant, gentle, submissive and playful. These dogs have dark nose, fine, narrow ears and thin but long neck. They are not difficult to train. They love to live in quiet environment and probably not suitable for children.

Characteristics and temperaments: The Italian Greyhound breed gets along well with other dogs and cats. They can get along with considerate children, probably those of older age. This breed can be very difficult to housebreak. Having more than one in the house is recommended to keep him accompany, but not recommended with other larger dogs.
Care: Bathe when necessary. The coat is very easy to groom. Rubbing with a piece of towel is all you need to maintain the coat.
Training and activity: The dogs are very active and enjoy walking and running freely. As a quick learner, training should be fun but not difficult. Consistency is required though, as he occasionally gets naughty. Young dogs are very fast and can climb and jump very actively.
