The Kerry Blue Terrier breed is a well-balanced, muscular, alert, and affectionate dog. They love to be around other family members and make a good watchdog. These dogs are intelligent and get along well with other pets if properly supervised. They usually are aggressive toward other dogs though.

Characteristics and temperaments: The Kerry Blue Terrier breed loves to be around people. They are intelligent, brave, bond closely with their handler, but can be independent. The dogs bark rarely. Properly socialized will prevent this dog become very protective.
Care: Bathing and combing every week is necessary, although the dogs are odorless, they need to be clean. Grooming needs some training and should be done very 6 weeks. This breed does not shed.
Training and activity: This breed requires a confident and consistent handler. The dogs excel in catching and agility training. Training should be done to prevent their fighting nature with other dogs. This dog is a sporty dog, although he can happily adapt to the activity level of his family members.
