The Labrador Retriever breed is a medium-sized, well-balanced, strong and athletic dog. They are loving, patient, highly intelligent, loyal and affectionate. This breed is excellent and has superb reputation with children. They also like to be part of the family and get along with other dogs well.

Characteristics and temperaments: The Labrador Retriever loves to play but also hardworking. They excel in obedience and are very easy to train. They don't like to be leaved alone. May be reserved with strangers unless properly socialized as a puppy. Labs also make a good watchdog.
Care: The coat is easy to groom. Regular combing and brushing should suffice. Bathe only when necessary.
Training and activity: This breed is very energetic and like to work and play a lot. Plenty of exercise should be given, although they might try to adapt to your activity level. The dogs like to work with their handler and learn quickly. They like to hunt, track, retrieve, search, rescue, and also excel as a guide dog for the disabled.
