Miniature Bull Terrier Breed Information

The Miniature Bull Terrier breed is muscular, strongly built and active. He loves companionship or they may become destructive. The most distinctive feature is his head and eyes. This dog makes an excellent watch dog but can be difficult to train. This breed is in all ways the same as the Bull Terrier, except its size.

Breed Weight: 25 - 33 lbs.
Breed Height: 10 - 14 inches.

Color(s): pure white, black, brindle, red, and fawn; tri-colors are allowed. Markings on head are permissible.
Coat: short-haired, fine gloss, flat, and harsh.
Characteristics and temperaments: Although can get along well with children, this breed may be too powerful for them. Socializatin from an early age is a must to overcome jealousy and possessiveness. Bull Terriers think for themselves and require great deal of supervision and attention.
Care: This dog sheds twice a year, of which more carefully brushing is required during these periods. Occasional combing and brushing suffice for other times of the year. Clean his ears regularly.
Training and activity: Being energetic, he needs a lot of exercise to keep him happy. The Miniature Bull Terrier should get involve in an obedient training as a puppy. He may be stubborn at times and requires a very firm and consisten training. This dog loves to play off the leash and go for a walk. You may not want to get him as a second dog because he can be quite dominant if not thoroughly trained.
