Characteristics and temperaments: The Pointer breed needs to stay close to his family. They get along very well with other dogs and household pets. Hunting instincts develop early even as a puppy. These dogs are independent and moderately active indoors, making it not suitable for apartment life.

Care: The smooth and short coat is very easy to groom. Brush regularly is enough. Examine the ears and keep clean.

Training and activity: This breed needs a lot of exercise to keep healthy and happy. This energetic dog should only be adapted if you think you or one of your family members can provide enough exercise for him. Under-exercised dog can become restless and destructive.
