The Norfolk Terrier breed is a lovable, short, sturdy, strong, active and compact dog. They are one of the smallest in the working terriers. These dogs love children and everyone. Small in size, but this breed has great amount of energy and love to play. They need to be around their family to keep them happy.

Breed Weight: 11 - 12 lbs.

Breed Height: 9 - 10 inches.

Color(s): black and tan, wheaten, all shades of red or grizzle.

Coat: hard, wiry, straight, medium-length, short around head and ears.

Characteristics and temperaments: The Norfolk Terrier breed is affectionate, balanced and lively dog. They are fearless and get along quite well with children and also other dogs. They can be jealous at times. Good as a watchdog as the dog will announce visitors with barking. If you need an outgoing dog, this may be appropriate for you.

Care: The medium-length coat is easy to groom. Daily brushing and combing is required though.

Training and activity: This breed learns quickl so training should be fun. Sometimes this breed can be independent so it is best to have a firm and consistent handler. The dog will adapt to the activity level of his family. This breed loves to dig and appreciate the opportunities to do so.
