Characteristics and temperaments: The Plott Breed makes a good companion for the family. Being loyal and intelligent, this dog learns fast. This breed tends to droll and slobber. They are also considered the hardiest of the coonhounds. When it came to searching, they were developed to search for coyotes, wolves and wildcats.

Training and activity: These dogs require a lot of exercise. They have strong muscles with rather lean-boned. These combinations turn into a high endurance and stamina dog. They appreciate the opportunity to run freely, but make sure you have a secured or fenced yard because they tend to follow interesting scents.
