The Puli breed is a medium-sized, sturdy, quite muscular, square and fine-boned dog. They are very loyal and make excellent family dogs. Puliks will adapt to almost any living environment including apartment and country. Although they are fairly active indoors, they can live without a yard of their own.

AKC Breed Group: Herding.

Breed Weight: 25 - 35 lbs.

Breed Height: 16 - 17 inches.

Color(s): solid black, rusty black, grey and white.

Coat: dense, weather proof. double-coated; undercoat is soft and wooly while outercoat is wavy or curly.

Characteristics and temperaments: The Puli breed is lively, cheerful and loyal little dog. Being intelligence makes him independent at times. They are wary with strangers but never aggressive. This breed can't get along very well with small children but pretty good with considerate children. Socialization since puppyhood should help with this too.

Care: The coat requires quite a bit of attetion and grooming. Separate mats by hands regularly. Bathing and drying take some time.

Training and activity: These dogs are lively and energetic. They like to play, romp and even swim. When it comes to training, don't involve them in repetitive training as they can get bored easily. Sometimes they have their own mind so take this into mind during training. This breed requires virgorous exercise on a daily basis.
