Samoyed Breed Information

The Samoyed breed is a strong, muscular, dynamic and active dog. The body of the dog itself shows beauty and strength, built especially as a working dog. They are gentle, dignified and very devoted. Although they love everyone, the tent to favor only one person. This breed is nos suitable as a watchdog. They get along well with children too.

Coat: topcoat is straight and wiry; undercoat is dense and short.
Characteristics and temperaments: The Samoyed breed is friendly, intelligent, obedient but also stubborn. They are dominant but gentle-natured. This breed is also easy-going and friendly with everyone. They are accustomed to work in teams. Don't leave the dogs alone for long as they may become destructive. This breed likes to bark a lot.
Care: Seasonally heavy shedder, the double-coat requires extensive grooming. Remove loose or dead hairs using a metal comb.
Training and activity: This breed needs plenty of exercise. They are good jogging companions which also like to run alongside you as you ride a bicycle. Training require firm and patience. The best time is to start training since puppyhood. They will be resistant to formal obedience training and also become bored easily.
