Sealyham Terrier Breed Information

The Sealyham Terrier breed is a playful, alert, loving, spirited and affectionate dog. They are brave and independent but not as rowdy as some of other breeds in the Terrier group. They can get along well with older and considerate children and quite good with other pets. When it comes to other dogs, they can become very aggressive though.

Breed Weight: 18 - 24 lbs.

Breed Height: up to 12 inches.

Sealyham Terrier Breed

Color(s): any solid color.

Coat: long, hard, wiry and weather-resistant. Undercoat is dense while topcoat is wiry.

Characteristics and temperaments: The Sealyham Terrier is an affectionate and brave little dog. They are somewhat reserved with strangers and like to bark, making them good watchdogs. They are also good at catching rats and mice. They like to live along with other dogs and being an important part of the family.

Care: The wiry and medium-length coat requires professional stripping and trimming. This breed sheds little to no hair.

Training and activity: These dogs are good for apartment living and quite inactive indoors. This doesn't mean they don't need sufficient exercise. They like to go for short walks, making them a perfect walking companion. Training should be done consistently as they are quite independence and may become dominance at times.
