Shih Tzu Breed Information

The Shih Tzu breed is a lively, alert, and hardy little study dog. They have proud looking face, which are sometimes arrogant bt dignified and courageous. This breed likes to bark and makes a good watch dog. Generally this dog is quite indoors. They like to be around people and usually get along well with other pets.

Characteristics and temperaments: The Shih Tzu is an intelligent, lovable, affectionate, cheerful, alert and dignify little dog. They are independent and arrogant at times. They are also not as outgoing as other dogs. Stubborn and clever, Shihs is also sensitive to the heat.

Care: This dog requires daily grooming to make the coat in the top condition. This breed sheds little to no hair.

Training and activity: This good is good for apartment life. They are quite active indoors. Daily walks keep the dog healthy. Consistency is important when training this breed. Some of them can be difficult to housebreak.
