Siberian Husky Breed Information

The Siberian Husky breed is a medium-sized, light, quick, strong and compact working dog. They are gentle, playful, clever, loving, easy-going and energetic. This breed likes children and is friendly with strangers, making it not suitable as a watch dog.

Coat: double-coated; Undercoat is soft and dense while outercoat is medium-length.
Characteristics and temperaments: The Siberian Husky is a gentle, playful, sociable and loving breed. They can be willful at times but also intelligent and trainable. Early socialization is required for them to get along with other pets. Huskies are thrifty eaters and need less food than you might expect.
Care: This breed sheds twice a year. Other than that, occasional grooming with a brush and comb is all needed.
Training and activity: This breed is independent at times and will only do what you tell if they see a point. This breed gets bored easily. Training should involve a lot of patience and consistency and understanding of the dog characters. These dogs need plenty amount of exercise, especially in cold climates.
