Smooth Fox Terrier Breed Information

The Smooth Fox Terrier breed is a lively, strong, fast, and gay dog. They are bold and energetic terrier which are playful with children. Never leaved them unsupervised with children though. These dogs like to be closed with their family or they may become destructive. This breed is aggressive and often challenge other dogs, even of larger size.

Coat: smooth, flat, hard, short, abundant and dense.

Characteristics and temperaments: The Smooth Fox Terrier is bold, energetic, affectionate and jealous dog. They excel at learning tricks and enjoy being part of the family. Proper socialization should make this dog okay with other dogs, but generally should not be trusted with children, although they love to play too.

Care: The short coat is easy to groom. Bathe or dry shampoo only when necessary.

Training and activity: These dogs will exercise themselves if enough room is available. They are also suitable for apartment living as long as you can satisfy their activities. Running freely off leash in a secured area is recommended. Obedience training should be done firmly as a puppy because this breed is willful.
