The Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier breed is a medium-sized, well-balanced, squarely-built, compact and hardy dog. They are alert, graceful, strong and well-coordinated. They get along withchildren and other dogs provided proper socialization has taken place as a puppy. This breed is suitable for apartment living.

Characteristics and temperaments: The Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier is an alert, happy, graceful and playful dog. They are not aggressive but may be challenged and fought back. This breed likes to be closed to its family. They seldom bark and is sweet-tempered, easy going and confident. This terrier don't get along well with cats.
Care: Let the coat to have its natural look. Combing is required to keep it free of tangles. This breed sheds very little.
Training and activity: The exercise needs of this breed are moderate. Bring them for daily walks or let them play in a safe yard. Training should be done since puppyhood, but should be easy because of their intelligence. They need to be handled in a straightforward manner.
