The Tibetan Terrier breed is a squarely proportioned, compact, agile and medium-sized dog. They are gentle, sweet, loving and lively. This breed can get along with children provided they are considerate. This breed will do okay in an apartment provided he is sufficiently exercised. They are quite inactive indoors, a small yard will be sufficient.

Coat: double-coated; undercoat is soft and wooly while outercoat is profuse and fine.

Characteristics and temperaments: The Tibetan Terrier breed is very dedicated to their owners. They like to be around their family all the time. This breed can get along with considerate children but tries to dominate other dogs. They are also cautious around strangers.

Care: Daily grooming with a brush is required to remove loose or dead hair. Ear passages must be kept clean.

Training and activity: This breed is very sensitive to the tone of its handler, making it easy to train. A calm approach is needed to train this dog. As an energetic dog, he has a lot of energy to burn. Regular opportunities to run, play catch and other agility skills trials are activities they enjoy.
