The Welsh Terrier breed is a sturdy, compact, rugged-looking, medium-sized dog. They are vigilant, active, cheerful, affectionate and intelligent. Although they are very active indoors, they can live well in an apartment provided that sufficient exercise is given. A small yard is sufficient.

Color(s): deep reddish tan with slighly lighter shades permissible, black jacket.
Coat: hard, wiry, dense. Double-coated with soft and short undercoat.
Characteristics and temperaments: The Welsh Terrier breed is an active and uncomplicated dog. They are usually patient with children and can withstand a bit of rough play. This breed is a little calmer than the other long-legged terriers. Happy and energetic, they are best with active family.
Care: The coat require regular grooming by brushing and combing a number of times each week.
