The Wire Fox Terrier breed is a well-balanced, alert, fast, and keen of expression dog. They are bold, energetic, playful, affectionate with the family and jealousy. This breed should not be trusted with children as they have know to bite. This terrier will do okay in an apartment if sufficiently exercised.

Breed Weight: 13 - 20 lbs.

Breed Height: 13 - 16 inches.

Color(s): predominantly white.

Coat: dense, wiry and close.

Characteristics and temperaments: The Wire Fox Terrier breed is a lovable dog which excel at learning tricks. They should not be left with children unsupervised, although they also like to play with them. These dogs enjoy to be part of their family. They also have the tendency to pick fights with other dogs.

Care: Brushing with a firm bristle brush is the minimum effort to keep the coat in the top condition. Striping is optional although recommended.

Training and activity: Wirehaired Fox Terrier will satisfy their own exercise needs if given the space. Apartment living is suitable with them as long as you can take them regularly for long walks or rumps in the park. Socialization and involvement in behavioral training are necessary as a puppy to prevent dominance and excessive barking.
